Chapter 526 525: Something He Had Never Done Before
'Sigh.'
'Now what do I do?'
This thought reverberated constantly in Corey's mind as he stood on a boulder that was close to the edge of the island on the back of the Goliathspawn.
His pure white eyes gazed at the Eternal Waterfall, and the sound of the Eternal Waterfall crashing into the Shattered Sea resounded constantly in his Ears of Omniscience.
More than ten minutes had gone by after Ryan told him of the dangers that surrounded the Eternal Sea, and he told Ryan he needed some time to himself.
Countless thoughts, questions, simulations, and hypotheses constantly came and went through his main consciousness and stars of consciousness.
The first question he had but chose to ignore was how he arrived exactly in the Shattered Sea.
Pamela had forcefully teleported him away from the Raging Sky, most likely because she did not trust him when she tried to fuse with the Lightning Infinity Crystal.
Unlike Corey who had Nina and was also a Demi-Paragon that had unlocked his Celestial Mana Veins, 99% of every living creature in existence and reality would spend some time fusing with an Infinity Crystal.
The duration at which they used to fuse with an Infinity Crystal was dependent on a lot of factors, and even though Pamela was an Arcane Human and a Rune Sage, it would take her some time to fuse with the Lightning Infinity Crystal.
According to Nina, it might take her a month or three weeks depending on several factors. Although it might seem long to a lot of people, especially mortals, those who had knowledge and experience of Infinity Crystals knew that it was not unusual for individuals to spend years trying to fuse with an Infinity Crystal.
If a Tier 0 human tries to fuse with an Astral Infinity Crystal, it would not be surprising if he or she spent years trying to fuse with the Astral Infinity Crystal. Once again, this was dependent on a lot of factors like the talents of the human.
Another thing with Infinity Crystals was that the higher the grade of an Infinity Crystal, the more difficult it was to fuse with it.
Successfully fusing with an Infinity Crystal changes the internal structure and composition of most races and beings, however, Paragons and Supremes were different.
The composition of the bodies of both races was built by the Paragon Ancestor and Supreme Ancestor to perfectly channel the unfathomable power of Infinity Crystals.
This is one of the reasons why Paragons and Supremes are at the peak of races in all of reality.
Moving away from Paragons, Supremes, and Infinity Crystals, when Corey asked Nina why he was specifically teleported to a location that specifically had an Infinity Crystal, he received a very surprising answer.
According to Nina, it was the Paragon Ancestor that brought him to the Shattered Sea, not Pamela.
Pamela's act of forcefully teleporting him to a faraway place was meant to send him to a completely random but 'safe' place that was far away from the Raging Sky.
It was never meant to cover a distance as vast as the distance from the Shattered Sea to the Raging Sky.
Although Corey had no idea why the Paragon Ancestor decided to teleport him to the Shattered Sea, he had a strong feeling that for a being like the Paragon Ancestor to bring him to the Shattered Sea, then there was a massive opportunity waiting here for him.
However, if Corey knew that the Paragon Ancestor had just randomly teleported him to one of the locations that had an Infinity Crystal in the shattered dimension of the Old Ones, even he would not know what his reaction would be.
The second and most important question that he constantly thought about was how he was going to get to the top of the Eternal Waterfall so that he could obtain the Infinity Crystal at the top.
Unlike the Morphing Expanse and the Raging Sky where the Powers and holders of the Infinity Crystals showed themselves to Corey easily, Corey had a feeling that he'd have to reach the top of the Eternal Waterfall or get close to it before the Power would show itself before it.
Unfortunately, for him to reach the top of the Eternal Waterfall, he'd have to go through five deadly and dangerous abominations and all of them were Principalities.
'Except the Skybound Sirens. Ryan corrected himself later on by telling me that he had not seen or heard of any Skybound Siren that was a Principality. Only the Frost Warden, the Maw, the Tentacled Scourge, and the Abyssal Leviathan are Principalities.'
Corey thought with a soft exhale, and then he shifted his gaze to the other Goliathspawns that were far away.
Although Corey had immense confidence in himself, his abilities, and his capabilities, Corey knew that he needed a thorough and maybe crazy plan or he'd end up a dead man.
If he only had to fight the Power of the Shattered Sea, then he wouldn't be so bothered. However, having to fight four Principalities and a horde of flying Titans was too much for him.
Not only were the Principalities, not average Principalities, but they had extremely strange Powers that he also had to be wary of.
Corey hated to admit it, but his defeat to Pamela made him realize that he was not as invincible as he once thought. Although he always told himself not to be proud and believed that he would always win, defeating beings like the Capra King and Aethara planted this seed of belief and pride in him.
However, the ease and manner in which Pamela defeated him brought him back to reality.
'Should I be grateful for her defeating me so easily?'
Step
Just as Corey, had this thought, he heard the sound of footsteps. He was not surprised by this since he could see the owner of the steps.
"You're still looking at the Eternal Waterfall? Don't tell me you still want to reach the top of the waterfall?"
Ryan's slightly deep voice flowed into his ears, and Corey turned towards him with a stoic expression. He saw the deep frown and confusion on Ryan's face, but he was not surprised by this since he could guess and understand his thoughts.
He remained silent for three seconds, and just as Ryan was about to speak, Corey spoke.
"I need your help getting to the top of the waterfall."
"Huh?"
Ryan's eyes widened in immense shock and disbelief, but Corey's expression remained the same.
Due to how dangerous it was for him to reach the top of the Eternal Waterfall, Corey decided to do something that he had never done before.
Ask for help.
