Chapter 6: First Sage
After the woman's words, Kris let out a deep breath and then said, "Inside the Alchemy Room, my lady, according to what my master told me, he must have already made preparations, everything may even be finished."
After these words, the woman who was talking to Kris suddenly disappeared. There was no point in questioning where she had gone; she had already entered the mansion.
When she stepped into the mansion, this beautiful woman realised that something was wrong. She moved instantly, came to the front of the alchemy room, and tried to open the door.
The door was locked, which meant that it had to be forced open.
She instantly turned the lock into ice broke the lock and opened the door, and the sight before her was enough to make her eyes widen.
"DESMOND!" the beautiful woman shouted, instantly falling to her knees, the sight of the young man whom all the Sages loved and cherished so dearly, bleeding and on his knees on his stomach, was enough to drive her mad.
She immediately picked Desmond up, not caring that her own white dress was soaked in blood, she immediately took Desmond out of the room and found one of the small tables she could find in a short time and laid him on it.
Immediately, the beautiful woman gathered as much mana as she could, trying to inject it into Desmond but failing every time she tried.
"Impossible..." she muttered, unable to believe her eyes.
At that moment, Desmond's body began to tremble. She could recognise the traces of mana forming on Desmond's body, of course, this was the first time she had seen such a thing in all her years.
"A heart of magic...how? He succeeded?" she added, seemingly unable to believe her own words.
It took a moment for the beautiful woman to come to her senses after realising what had happened, and once she had recovered she took a deep breath and calmed herself down, the important thing right now was Desmond's safety.
The beautiful woman did not let anyone into the mansion and waited in the room for Desmond to come to her.
This day would end after one day.
When Desmond opened his eyes again, he was able to realise the lightness in his body. He felt incredibly light, thinking that Kris had brought him to where he was lying, he stood up and then stretched his body.
At that moment, that authoritative voice was heard behind him:
"You can't imagine how angry I am with you."
Without even turning round, Desmond realised who that voice belonged to. Gentle, loving, but incredibly authoritative.
She was one of the seven most powerful people in the world. She was the oldest of the Sages, a woman who had lived for hundreds and, according to some rumours, even tens of thousands of years. In short, she was a young-looking but ancient woman.
Her long and shining snow-white hair looked as if it had been touched by the hand of a god, and her glowing crimson eyes seemed to look into the souls of those who looked at them. She was a woman with an incredibly beautiful figure and a snow-white dress that did not allow even a single smoothness.
Yes, this woman was the first Sage herself...Cordelia, the Sage of Eternity.
It was not known how long she had lived, but what was said was that Cordelia had existed in the Realm War that had ended a million years ago and that she was the one who had closed an era with her own hands and started the era of the Sages.
Cordelia was the one who nicknamed Desmond the Sage of Wisdom and ranked him as a Sage.
If dragons were magic itself, Cordelia was the one who controlled it. She was better than anyone with fire and ice in the whole history of magic and the world.
"Cordelia, um...it's been a while, hasn't it?" questioned Desmond, even if he was a spirit with his memories he could see through the real memories, and he had to obey.
"You must be worried to avoid my question. Do you know how much effort I put into holding back the other Sages when the Aether sent me a letter?" Cordelia suddenly complained.
With that, Desmond slowly turned around and then said, "I suppose I should apologise..."
Cordelia shook her head as she heard those words and then said, "Yes...an apology would be the best option in the face of the fact that the most important person in my life almost killed himself."
When Desmond heard those words, he realised that he had never heard anything like it in his memory. He could do nothing but shake his head and apologise, even though the fact of 'the most important person' was very much on his mind.
"Still...you really did it..." Cordelia said suddenly.
Desmond smiled at that and said, "It worked the second time, let's just say it took a lot of thinking."
Cordelia, who had a cold and icy stare, suddenly smiled falsely and then replied, "Yes, it worked."
Immediately after that, Desmond looked around and asked, "Have you seen my Dimensional Bag?"
Cordelia then threw her hand into a void and there was a sound as if reality had been pierced, and after removing her hand from the void, the dimensional bag appeared.
Desmond couldn't help but smile at what he saw. This could have been the first real magic he had seen since he came to this world.
"Thank you," Desmond said and then reached into the dimensional bag and pulled out one of the potions.
Desmond's voice was heard again as Cordelia tried to realise exactly what she was seeing:
"After calculating the exact ingredients required I was able to create the potion through alchemy, it was incredibly painful, I bled everywhere, everywhere."
At Desmond's words Cordelia realised what he was talking about and nodded with a smile, then looking at Desmond with really proud eyes she said:
"You can't imagine how happy I am that you're alive..."
