Swordsman Who Is Good in Bed

Chapter 3: Chapter 3: Bitter Reality

Chapter 3

Early in the morning, Cempaka Putih school grounds were bustling with people.

Seeing the crowd, Raka couldn't help but feel excited.

"Haha, today is the day we witness the rise of the strongest person in the universe!" he exclaimed.

"Yeah, right, but that strongest person is me!" Rangga interjected arrogantly.

Raka immediately challenged him, starting a heated debate. Agung, Sari, and Dewi could only watch helplessly.

Meanwhile, Ethan was busy flirting with girls around him.

"Cough!" A firm cough echoed, followed by the arrival of a group of teachers. The crowd fell silent. Raka and his friends also quieted down, maintaining order.

"Good morning..." The teacher began the welcome speech with a fiery address. Initially, the crowd was enthusiastic, but they soon grew bored with the lengthy speech.

As if sensing the boredom, the organizers quickly moved on to the main ceremony. One by one, the students proceeded towards the prepared awakening altars.

Announcement after announcement echoed:

"Ifan, registration number xxx, awakens the Virtual Resonance of a climbing plant, estimated rank C-."

"Bayu, registration number xxx, awakens the Virtual Resonance of a scimitar, estimated rank D."

"Zephyr, registration number xxx, awakens the Virtual Resonance of a saw, estimated rank D+."

Raka's excitement and anticipation grew. He looked around for his family and saw them waving, encouraging him.

This further solidified his determination to awaken a powerful Virtual Resonance and make his family proud.

The ceremony continued until it was Raka's Group's turn. Agung, Sari, and Ethan, along with other participants, were called to approach the awakening altars.

Raka and the others cheered them on. Once they reached their designated spots, the teacher explained the rules and precautions. After ensuring they understood, they moved closer to the center of the altar and awaited the awakening process.

Sari's altar reacted first; a pillar of fire shot up. Sari panicked as her clothes began to catch fire. Some people were worried, even Ethan, who was in the middle of his awakening process, was slightly distracted.

Fortunately, the teacher calmly covered the altar area with a curtain and provided Sari with a replacement outfit, as if such incidents were commonplace.

A pair of iron gauntlets floated above Sari's head, glowing with a fiery aura.

"Sari, registration number xxx, awakens the Virtual Resonance of fire gauntlets, estimated rank B."

Sari breathed a sigh of relief and happiness. Raka and his friends shared her joy.

The ceremony continued. Ethan's altar was filled with pink bubbles. A pink bar of soap with a hole in the middle appeared, floating above his head.

Everyone was stunned, even the teacher reading the assessment seemed slightly confused.

"Ethan, registration number xxx, awakens the Virtual Resonance of a soapy—cough, I mean Happiness Soap, estimated rank B."

Ethan was excited and imagined the uses of his Virtual Resonance, displaying a strange smile.

People silently cursed under their breath.

Agung shook his head, hoping not to disrupt his awakening process.

A blinding golden light erupted from Agung's altar. A pair of golden underwear floated above his head.

"Agung, registration number xxx, awakens the Virtual Resonance of the King's Underwear, estimated rank B+."

Raka and Rangga burst into laughter, their prediction from the previous night coming true. Agung was slightly annoyed but tried to remain composed.

"Calm down, Agung, calm down. Your Virtual Resonance is great, rank B+! The highest so far! Don't worry about trivial things, Agung!"

The Dean nodded in agreement. For him, petty embarrassment meant nothing compared to power.

Agung's group, including Ethan and Sari, returned to their seats.

Raka and Rangga continued to laugh at Agung. Agung grumbled in annoyance.

Finally, it was the turn of Raka, Rangga, Dewi, and the rest of their group. Each person went to their designated spot.

Raka received instructions:

"Alright, later you'll go to the center of the altar and relax your body. Don't resist when you feel something entering your body..."

Raka followed the teacher's instructions diligently. The awakening process began. Rangga's altar was enveloped in a dim light, like moonlight.

"Rangga, registration number xxx, awakens the Virtual Resonance of the Guardian Dog, estimated rank B-."

Rangga was thrilled.

Dewi's altar was covered in flickering black and white light.

Raka found it familiar but couldn't quite place it.

"Dewi, registration number xxx, awakens the Virtual Resonance of the Black and White Angel Eyes, estimated rank B+."

Even Dewi, usually quiet, couldn't help but feel excited at the result.

Raka, witnessing this, became even more optimistic about awakening a powerful Virtual Resonance.

Raka's altar trembled, and a strange, fine air flowed into his body as if penetrating the deepest recesses of his soul.

Lost in this sensation, he was oblivious to his surroundings, concentrating on relaxing his body to aid the awakening process.

Meanwhile, outside, Raka's body was surrounded by a kaleidoscope of light, captivating everyone present. This continued until a luxurious bed materialized, suspended above his head.

"Raka, registration number xxx, awakens the Virtual Resonance of the Pseudo King's Bed, estimated rank D+."

Raka, just regaining consciousness, was speechless. The announcement shocked him. His Virtual Resonance wasn't even close to his friends' B ranks; he hadn't even reached C.

Disbelieving, he wanted to pinch himself awake from this nightmare. Instead of waking up, he felt a sharp pain where he'd pinched himself. He realized he wasn't dreaming. His pupils constricted, but he didn't know what to do.

The teacher instructed Raka to leave, allowing the other participants to continue the awakening ceremony. He wanted to say something but was dismissed. He dejectedly walked back to his seat.

His family and friends grew worried at his condition. Just as he reached his seat, a voice boomed, accompanied by sacred-looking light.

"Gabriel, registration number xxx, awakens the Virtual Resonance of the Sacred Light Sword, estimated rank A."

Everyone cheered, recognizing the exceptional Virtual Resonance.

Raka tried to regain his spirits but quickly slumped again. He'd hoped to awaken that very Resonance, to earn everyone's admiration, but it was just a dream.

A dream…

Suddenly, Raka remembered his vivid dreams and the Virtual Resonance he'd just awakened.

"Yes, a dream. I can only dream. Even my Virtual Resonance is a bed, perfectly suited for me…" he mocked himself.

His family felt even more distressed. They wanted to comfort him, but it wasn't the right time. His parents exchanged glances, sighing helplessly.

As they pondered how to cheer Raka up, their phones rang simultaneously. They hesitated to answer, but with persistent ringing, eventually picked up.

"Hello…"

After hanging up, they looked at each other anxiously, unsure what to do. After a moment, they decided to leave with their three children.

"What's wrong, Mom?" the youngest child asked curiously.

"There's been an accident at the farm!" she replied anxiously.

The children didn't ask further questions and hurried along.

Meanwhile, Raka remained dejected, occasionally comforted by his friends, but his despair lingered. The awakening ceremony continued smoothly, oblivious to Raka's feelings.

When it ended, the teachers offered congratulations and closing remarks, but Raka didn't hear them. After some time, they finally dismissed everyone.

Raka hurried off in one direction. His friends wanted to say something but stopped, realizing he was already gone.

In the bathroom, Raka sat silently, reflecting on recent events, realizing how naive he'd been. Of all the words, only one fit:

Clown.

Yes, a clown!

"I'm a complete clown! How funny, hehehe," Raka mocked himself.

What distressed him most was the realization that his family hadn't been there earlier, making him think they were disappointed in him.

Remembering his earlier arrogance, he felt ashamed, wanting to hide from the world.

Overwhelmed by depression, he couldn't hold back his tears.

After some time, he stopped crying. Looking at the sky, he realized it was late. He left the bathroom and peeked outside. The school was empty, the earlier bustle gone. He sighed and went home.

On the way, he felt his face burning. He knew he was alone, yet he felt mocked and scorned as if the stones and trees looked down on him. Uncomfortable, he quickened his pace, wanting to hide in his room.

In an alley, he saw a group of familiar students. Remembering last night's "heroic" incident, he felt uneasy. Panicked, he tried to turn away.

"Hey, don't run away!"

Footsteps sounded behind him, and a group of teenagers surrounded him.
