The Backbender (Avatar: The Last Airbender)

"HAAAA!!!"

Boom!

A pure white beam of uncontrollable vibrations and a condensed vibrating beam of wind erupted from Kanuk's palms. The air turned silent as every sound particle was absorbed by the beam.

The world felt deaf as Katara and Fei felt their hearing go away. The ground started shaking with the town as the beam made contact with the lava.

It was destruction.

Pure destruction as the beam tore through the lava and the ground. It did not even stop until it made contact with the Volcano itself. The beam tore into its side, and Kanuk groaned.

"HAAAAA!!!" Kanuk pumped his hands full of chi, and in his surprised eyes, something interesting happened. It has been a long time since he upgraded chi to v2.

 He has been training it by having a leaf float and spin on his forehead. This raised his chi control by a very high amount of exp. It finally shows its fruits.

[Ding!]

[2. Can take shapes and harden.]

[3. Can fire it in the form of energy.]

"Choose 3!" Kanuk did not have time to think. He just chose what looked best to him. Even if he had time to think, he would choose the third since the other two are not urgent.

Boom!

The beam suddenly turned deep blue as energy started flowing into the beam. Kanuk's hands turned blue as energy came out like a jet. The beam turned from white to blue and condensed.

Boom!

The beam tore through the Volcano, leaving a huge gaping hole in the middle, allowing everyone to see what the inside of the Volcano looked like.

"HAAAA!!!" Kanuk made a last shout as he thrust his palms forward, the energy beam vanishing as it flew into the sky. The lava was long blown away and started to harden.

The inside of the Volcano was cold as the surface lava froze deep into the Volcano. Kanuk put his palms down as he felt his chi reserve empty before it instantly recovered in 10 seconds.

"That. Was. Amazing!" Katara and Fei looked at Kanuk with wide eyes that shone with amazement. They immediately surrounded him and started questioning as to how he did it.

"Heh~ I am just lucky." Katara and Fei had a deadpan face as they looked at him. Kanuk blushed as he looked away in embarrassment. No matter what, he would never reveal his system.

"We are saved!"

"He saved us!" 

Kanuk said as he looked at the bustling town with people trying to run to him. Kanuk did not want that, so he jumped up and flew away with Fei and Katara in his arms.

Boom!

He flew away and reached Appa in a minute since Katara and Fei were in his arms. Appa looked up and let out a moo as he spotted the three in the air.

Swoosh!

Appa flew into the sky, and the team started their next journey. Katara and Fei trained while Kanuk took a rest for now. Even though he has limits, he might not tire, but mentally is different.

"O wonder if there is an attribute that would help me with my mind?..." Kanuk mutters as he looks up at the night sky. With a smile, he closed his eyes and drifted into sleep.

Katara and Fei stop training and smile as they lay down on his chest. The three of them sleep, and Appa flies on his own.

The next day arrives, and while the 4 flies in the air, appa goes to the ground with a bit of tiredness, and the team sets a camp up.

"Let's explore!" Fei smiles as she jumps up. Katra and Kanuk follow him as they start wondering. Kanuk knows this is where they will meet Bato. The friend of Hakoda.

"HMM? This is a water tribe markings!" Katara exclaims as he starts walking towards a small settlement. Katara reaches the settlement. She enters inside it. Finding Bato.

"Bato!" Katara screams in surprise, and Bato looks up with wide eyes. Kanuk enters from behind him with Fei and smiles as he waves at Bato. He is not really interested.

"Bato. Where is my father?" Katara instantly asked. Bato turned sad at the mention of his father as he motioned for them to sit down.

"Your father left me behind when I got injured." Kanuk zones out as he sits down, placing his elbow on his thigh and resting his chin in his palm/ He turns and starts playing with Fei.

Meanwhile...

The town that Kanuk saved is celebrating in his name. A pair entered the village on the back of a blind Shirshu. A goth-looking mommy is on the back, with Zuko on the behind.

The two search the town until Zuko comes across the spring that Katara, Fei and Kanuk are in. The stench inside is still here, and he gags as he walks outside.

"Wow~ Looks like those 3 are really going at it~ But I should be able to find them now," June smirked as she waved her hand at her nose. She could smell the stench from outside. 

Nyla sniffs the air, her long tongue hanging out. Zuko watches as she gets onto her back. Nyla looks up and spots a blue colour along with two others.

"She found it," June says as they turn around. Zuko narrowed his eyes as he remembered Kanuk's face from Kiyoshi Island. He clenches his fist in anger.

Back with Kanuk, he is outside next to a river, his body flashing like an afterimage as he trains his earth-bending and whirlwind iron-cutting fist. Both at the same time.

"Whirlwind Slash Barrage!" Kasnuk started throwing punches, chops and kicks. He created a barrage of cutting attacks. The air and ground crack and break apart as with mere martial arts.

Boom!

A final punch was sent out, creating a shockwave that cut apart the ground in the distance. Kanuk let out a breath as he looked at his martial arts. A huge boulder floated behind him.

[Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist Lv.5->6 {0/6000}]

 Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist requires much more experience to level up than martial arts. Kanuk turned around with a smirk as he jumped and kicked the boulder as huge as a small house.

Boom!

The builders break into small pieces that are then controlled by Kanuk to hit the ground like bullets and cannons.

"I still can't believe that Kanuk is so strong now..." Bato said as he watched in the distance. Katara nodded with a smile while Fei was eating some berries.

[Earth Bending Lv.7 ->8 {0/800}]

Kanuk smirked as he felt his growing strength. He looked down at his clenched fist, and it glowed with a blue light as he poured his chi in his fist.

Boom!

A punch and then a blast of energy was sent out, carving the ground into a trench before exploding into a shockwave that levelled a few trees.

"Should I just go and kill the Fire Lord Ozai myself?... Nah. I am not in a hurry." Kanuk muttered with a smirk on his face. He is not ready to end his journey just yet.

Not until he becomes the strongest.
