Transmigrated into a Villainess? I’m Going to conquer the Heroine!

Chapter 99 - Arranging the Exit

Lu ShanEn was dead, Dong Ling had cleanly distanced himself, and now, only two members remained of Dragon City’s F4.

The other one was Lin XiuYu.

Two close brothers—one dead, one gone—his feelings were complicated, to say the least.

When Chu Yu came looking for him, an uneasy feeling crept into his heart, and he even began to wonder who was behind all of this.

He voiced his concerns to Chu Yu, whose face darkened. “Lu Shan was just hanging out with us last week, and now, this week, he’s been killed by that illegitimate daughter of his family. That girl’s got some nerve.”

Lin XiuYu frowned. “Brother Chu, that kid Dong Ling has been acting strange lately. I can’t even get in touch with him. Even with something as big as Lu Shan’s death, he still refuses to meet. No idea what game he’s playing.”

After Lu ShanEn’s death, they had immediately reached out to Dong Ling, but no matter what they said, he refused to show up. At such a critical moment, his avoidance could only mean one thing—he knew something.

Thinking about Dong Ling, Chu Yu’s expression didn’t improve. The two of them hadn’t been in touch for over a month now, and Dong Ling had even cut ties with their underground network. Instead, he had started running legitimate businesses in the open.

Maybe there was some misunderstanding between them, but Chu Yu wasn’t the kind of person to chase after explanations. If Dong Ling wasn’t willing to play along, then fine—no need to associate anymore.

“I don’t think Lu Shan’s death was that simple,” Lin XiuYu continued. “Now that he’s dead, the Lu family is in complete chaos, and the damage to us is irreparable.”

Chu Yu was already getting a headache just listening to him. Unable to settle his thoughts, he abruptly cut him off. “XiuYu.”

Lin XiuYu paused, looking at him in confusion. “What’s wrong?”

“Send someone to deal with the illegitimate daughter. Avenge Lu Shan.”

Lin XiuYu hesitated for a moment before nodding. “Got it.” With that, he left the private lounge.

Chu Yu’s expression remained grim. Lately, an unsettling feeling had been gnawing at him, and after Lu ShanEn’s death, it had only gotten worse. He couldn’t even explain it, but deep down, he realized—he was afraid.

His investigation led him to the person assisting the Lu family’s illegitimate daughter—Tang Gu. Their methods weren’t particularly sophisticated, but they were effective.

Lu ShanEn’s death had caused a ripple effect, hitting their underground business hard. The counterfeit drug supply was blocked, and one of their major addiction-drug distribution channels had been cut off. Who knew how long it would take to rebuild the network?

A headache. When did Lu ShanEn and Tang Gu become enemies?

Tang Gu… and Tang Yuan… they both needed to be eliminated.

But making a move on them would bring a whole lot of trouble. They might even have to abandon all their legal businesses and go fully underground, which would severely limit their operations.

Chu Yu fell into deep thought.

But reality wouldn’t give him much time to ponder.

On the third day after Lu ShanEn’s death—

A major deal that Chu Yu had arranged was sabotaged.

The entire shipment of addiction drugs was voluntarily handed over to the police. Even worse, the person who did it called out Chu Yu by name, claiming the goods belonged to him.

With his status, he had always operated between the legal and illegal worlds with impunity. The authorities turned a blind eye, and no matter how big the shipment, it had always passed through smoothly.

But this time, the cargo had been delivered straight to the police—complete with a live broadcast of the unboxing. There were even records and evidence of their transaction.

It was their first time working with this supplier, who had come highly recommended by an old business partner. And yet, it had all fallen apart on the first deal.

Even now, Chu Yu wasn’t panicked. He still believed that no one in Dragon City could touch him. Summoned for questioning due to public pressure, he appeared before the authorities, leaving only one statement for the media swarming him—“The innocent will clear their name.”

Tang Yuan, watching the leaked video, rolled her eyes so hard they almost got stuck.

“Innocent? Isn’t he supposed to be all high and mighty? Why doesn’t he have the guts to tell the truth?”

Jiang Zi had just returned from answering a call in the office. As she entered the lounge, she caught the tail end of Tang Yuan’s complaints and chimed in, “He won’t be acting tough for much longer.”

A mechanical voice rang out in Tang Yuan’s mind:

[Mission complete: Exposed the male lead’s underground business. Deducting 10% of male lead’s protagonist halo. Current Value: 48%. Chain reactions in progress. This mission will continue to be evaluated.]

Tang Yuan put down her phone, her face lighting up with joy. She dashed toward Jiang Zi and threw herself into her arms. “This is amazing! Chu Yu is done for!”

Jiang Zi effortlessly caught her, turned around, and sat on the sofa, placing Tang Yuan on her lap. Tang Yuan naturally wrapped her arms around Jiang Zi’s neck.

Jiang Zi gently stroked her head. She had heard the system announcement just now. Though she didn’t fully understand what a protagonist halo of 48% meant, judging from Tang Yuan’s excitement, it was definitely low enough to be a problem for Chu Yu.

[Now that the exposure mission is complete, the heroine’s fate won’t be corrected. That’s the key for me and my sister to be together.]

[Sister is incredible. I don’t know how she managed to tamper with Chu Yu’s deal, but if she had simply blocked the smuggling routes or destroyed the base directly, the risk would have been much higher. He could have just fled.]

[But now, because of his arrogance, he walked right into the trap himself. Once he’s in, he’s never getting out. The police have already mobilized to dismantle his base and arrest everyone on the wanted list. The moment the storm begins is the moment these criminals fall.]

[Wait… what role did I even play in all of this?]

Tang Yuan blinked in confusion, thinking back on what she had actually done over the past ten days.

Jiang Zi leaned in and sealed her lips with a kiss—like she was trying to silence those restless thoughts.

Her little Tang Yuan was the most important piece.

The best support. The strongest debuff.

Without Tang Yuan, Jiang Zi would have always been restricted by the world’s rules, unable to make it this far. All her careful planning would have died in the cradle.

She was lucky to have Tang Yuan.

As their lips met, the chatter in Tang Yuan’s mind finally stopped. Jiang Zi smirked inwardly, pleased with her strategy, and deepened the kiss, coaxing her tongue into a dance.

When the kiss ended, Jiang Zi brushed her lips against Tang Yuan’s, adding a bit of gloss to them. Opening her eyes, she found Tang Yuan gazing at her in a daze, her eyes glassy with emotion.

Jiang Zi kissed her eyelids, forcing her to close them.

One hand trailed to the back of Tang Yuan’s neck, tilting her head to place soft kisses along her ear. A flick of her tongue teased the sensitive spot, making the girl in her arms tremble slightly.

She pressed a trail of feather-light kisses down from her ear to her jaw, then to her elegant swan-like neck. When she reached her collarbone, she made sure to be extra gentle, leaving no visible marks—but the tenderness of her touch made Tang Yuan melt completely.

Such an intimate and shameful act.

Just as the atmosphere turned completely heated, a phone call shattered the moment. Tang Yuan snapped back to reality and quickly pushed Jiang Zi away.

They were still in Jiang Zi’s office lounge. No one would enter, but the landline was connected so her secretary could always reach her.

Jiang Zi squinted at the constantly ringing phone, tempted to yank out the cord.

But Tang Yuan, like a slippery fish, had already escaped from her embrace and picked up the call.

Hanging up, she turned back to Jiang Zi with innocent eyes and relayed the message: “President Jiang, a document needs your signature. Urgent.”
